A Collection of Contemporary Female Poets

For this project, I curated and designed an anthology showcasing contemporary American women poets, pairing an introduction to each author with one of her signature works. My editorial layouts intentionally center the spotlight entirely on the writers. I created a visual bridge by using the initial letter of each poet’s name to seamlessly connect her biographical page to her poetry. By nesting each portrait within these bold letterforms, I draw the viewer’s eye directly to the poet’s gaze; a deliberate nod to the Persian proverb that the eyes are the windows to the soul.
